Job Description

Rinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA) is seeking a skilled and motivated Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Platform team in Manassas, Richmond, Waynesboro, Fredericksburg, or Virginia Beach .

This role will focus on the design, development, and maintenance of transportation infrastructure within Virginia, ensuring projects meet VDOT’s standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.

What You'll Do:

• Design and develop transportation infrastructure, including roads, highways, bridges, and traffic management systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including planners, engineers, contractors, and local agencies.
• Assist in project management tasks, including cost estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, designs, and drawings according to VDOT standards and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to transportation engineering.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in transportation engineering, including design and project management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) with the intention to obtain a PE within 1 year
• Proficiency in Microstation is preferred
• Knowledge of VDOT standards, specifications, and project delivery processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
