Superintendent to join our National Railroad Group! The Superintendent assists the General Superintendent and Project Management in coordinating resources, schedules and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient construction of projects. This person is actively involved in the Work Activity Plan process and is responsible for adhering to and promoting Kraemer's culture of QUALITY, SAFETY, EXCELLENCE.

Responsibilities: - Ensure Work Activity Plans are completed and implemented
- Lead by example for the "Safe Production" culture.
- Conduct daily TEAM meetings and maintain safe practices and procedures on the job site
- Administer and ensure compliance with Kraemer Safety and Quality Programs
- Ensure work is checked to conform to plans and specifications
- Establish and adjust work procedures to meet production schedules; activity planning and preparing WIP meeting
- Train new employees
- Develop and communicate daily, weekly and monthly goals to Kraemer crews
- Coordinate subcontractors (communicate issues and concerns to project management)
- Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment
- Interview, select and train employees; direct work and appraise employees' productivity/recommend promotions or change in status
- Handle complaints and grievances; disciplinary actions; and maintain production records for use in supervision
- Assist in representing company to owner at field inspections
- Perform third party requirements: permits, licenses, incidental materials
- Perform and plan project start-up: mobilization, material, manpower, techniques to be used, materials, supplies, equipment, tools, etc.
- Analyze and resolve challenges that may develop
- Assist Project Engineer with reporting quantities
- Determine safe slope conditions, form design and activity sequencing
- Participate in weekly meetings with owners and subcontractors
- Mentor and develop project staff
- Assist in identifying market opportunities for assigned region by establishing and maintaining effective contact with owners, subs, suppliers and potential clients
- Perform project close-out
Qualifications: - Minimum of five years previous experience in heavy-civil construction
- Knowledge of activities involved in areas of operations
- Experience in budget management
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Demonstrated field leadership
- Ability to perform effectively in a high-stress environment

Base salary is dependent on multiple factors: education, experience, skills, market rates, internal equity and/or location.
