Senior Azure(Synapse)Data Engineer On behalf of our one of our Austin based clients; Procom Services is seeking a skilled Senior Azure (Synapse) Data Engineer for a full time perm direct hire hybrid role in Austin, TX. This person will be joining their innovative Data Management Team within the IS Department. In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of data and analytics by transforming raw data into valuable insights that influence strategic decisions throughout the organization. Role is a hybrid role in Austin, TX starting out as 4 days a week onsite and will transition to 3 days a week onsite after the initial 3-to-6-month period. Senior Data Engineer Job Details The Data Engineer brings expertise in business intelligence and specializes in implementing modern, cloud-based data and analytics solutions. As part of the Data Management Team within the IS Department, this role focuses on transforming raw data into actionable insights for stakeholders. Serving as a full-stack engineer, the Data Engineer designs and develops automated pipelines to manage, transform, and optimize CLIENT data assets, while also building business intelligence tools and dashboards. Senior Data Engineer Mandatory Skills

• Experience with Azure Data & Analytics SaaS and PaaS Services
• Advanced SQL (PL/SQL, T-SQL) and performance tuning experience
• Experience creating Power BI reports
• Skilled in writing DAX queries
• Data modeling in cloud data storage platforms
• Agile development supported by JIRA, Confluence, and Git
• Initiative to conduct detail-oriented problem solving in a collaborative environment
• Skilled in clear and concise communication, both written and verbal, and able to effectively discuss complex technical concepts with executive and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, math, information systems, engineering, computer science, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with data, analytics, and reporting solutions

Senior Data Engineer Desired Skills

• Design and optimize data storage and transformation workflows to meet specific use cases, ensuring an effective balance between security, accessibility, reliability, cost-efficiency, and traceability
• Design, develop, and optimize strategic business intelligence tools that support operations and drive continuous improvement
• Participate in code reviews for data and software engineers working on sprint deliverables
• Perform data analysis and communicate meaningful insights to internal stakeholders to support strategic decision making, drive efficiencies, and enhance our customer experience
• Derive and publish technical requirements and operating procedures, mapped from business requirements, to clearly identify source data, calculations, and workflow for data products
• Partner with Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure data security and reliability
• Stay current with emerging technologies in data and analytics, evaluating and recommending tools to enhance capabilities
