Role Summary
We are seeking a senior associate scientist to assist with antibody purification and characterization. You will work with FPLC instrumentation as part of a core protein production group in the Research department. The focus of your job will purification and characterization of requested antibodies, along with protocol development and optimization while supporting other team sub-functions. Your work will play a critical role in supporting preclinical efforts in developing novel antibody-based therapeutics.
Role Responsibilities: - Routinely purif y antibod ies with AKTA Avant equipment .
- Characterize products utilizing UPLC, HPLC, UV-vis, and Mass Spectrometry methods .
- Create and update purification and characterization software protocols.
- Process protein samples under sterile conditions in a biosafety cabinet.
- Clean and perform preventative maintenance on purification instrumentation.
- Complete general lab upkeep tasks and support inventory fulfilment .
- Document work promptly using LIMS and ELN platforms .
Require d Qualifications - BS and 3+ years' h ands-on experience with FPLC purification techniques .
- Basic understanding using Unicor n , Empower , or related software operation instructions.
- Comprehension of two or more analytical chromatography techniques: size exclusion, hydrophobic interaction, reverse phase, UV-vis, endotoxin detection, d ynamic l ight s cattering, or SDS-PAGE.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks or projects with overlapping timelines.
- Work in a team-based environment employing a solution-based approach .
Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years' experience working directly with AKTA instruments performing protein purification.
- 1+ years' experience running HPLC or UPLC system or analyzing data results .
- Aseptic technique processing samples in biosafety cabinet.
- Write advanced Excel formulas and VBA or other coding languages.
- Robotic handling using TECAN or Hamilton platforms .

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $64,600.00 to $107,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
