Job Description
Essential Functions
1. Reads and interprets blueprints or works from verbal or written instructions or from the part to be copied or fitted.
2. Prepare drawings for in-house Tool & Die department using AutoCAD and or SolidWorks
3. Provide technical assistance to Tool & Die
4. Create Bill of Materials for Tool & Die department
5. Source parts, materials and components and order
6. Develop and implement cost reduction opportunities throughout product lines to reduce product costs
7. Demonstrate attention to detail
8. Demonstrate ability to take initiative and achieve the results required without direct supervision
9. Work with Tool & Die department in reviewing old tool designs, update drawings and make design changes
10. May perform other duties as assigned (die sharpening & repair, milling, turning, etc.)
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
2. AutoCAD experience.
3. SolidWorks experience a plus
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel.
5. Excellent attention to detail.
6. Experience with metal tooling necessary for forming, shearing, bending and punching dies
7. Experience with progressive dies and their design
8. Ability to work productively independently or on a team.
9. Leadership and development.
