TrustedSec is seeking an experienced Incident Response Consultant to join our world class Incident Response team. This role is for seasoned practitioners who can step into active incidents with confidence, operate independently, and deliver high quality technical and client facing outcomes.
Incident Response Consultants work directly with clients to investigate security incidents, perform host and network forensics, analyze malware, and guide organizations through detection, containment, eradication, and recovery. This role requires deep hands-on experience across Windows environments and enterprise networks, along with strong communication skills and sound judgment under pressure.
At this time, we are only considering candidates with prior professional Incident Response experience . If you are comfortable leading or materially contributing to live incidents from day one, this role may be a strong fit.

This position is a remote position, allowing employees to work remotely from their home residence within the United States. There is occasional travel required to client sites or industry related events. If you reside in Ohio near our office headquarters, you are always welcome to work a hybrid schedule of your choosing.
Duties/Responsibilities:A Security Consultant at TrustedSec is responsible for leading and performing complex technical assessments on client systems and assets, analyzing data, and issuing corresponding security reports. The Security Consultant works independently and directly with clients to help them advance their security programs. A Security Consultant plays a vital role in shaping our security consulting practice through regular content delivery and industry recognition.

Relevant certifications are beneficial but not required. Demonstrated real world experience carries significant weight.
Physical Requirements:Base compensation typically ranges from $100,000 - $200,000 and is determined by multiple factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, and demonstrated skills. In addition to base pay, we offer a generous paid time off allowance, paid holidays and a performance pay bonus program.
