Scrum Master

• Fully Remote

SCRUM Master

• As a hands-on Scrum Master, you will support an integrated team to design, develop and deploy a software platform in accordance with the technical and functional requirements of a State government customer using an Agile approach.
• This position will be responsible for facilitating the scrum process used to design and develop the application.
• As the Scrum Master, you will be responsible for coordinating with various vendors, both external and internal to the State agency.
• This position will also be responsible for all facets of Requirements Management using Jira as the Requirements Management tool.
• You will assist the teams document, decompose, and manage the requirements elaboration process through the development and testing phases of the life cycle.
• The scope of the program includes systems modernization, managed services, process development for cloud services provisioning, data integration across modules, and enhancing cloud capabilities to solve mission problems.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Conduct sprint planning in concert with the project teams and manage the daily scrum sessions
• Manage, monitor and report on the progress of sprints using sprint boards to help depict sprint progress
• Engage the product owners to achieve timely resolution of design questions and issues
• Provide guidance and monitor progress of the Agile development teams in the development and unit testing of their respective modules
• Work with the project team to elicit, elaborate and refine the functional and technical requirements
• Capture and document all requirements in Jira
• Prepare requirements traceability reports using Jira with appropriate links between the requirements and other artifacts

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of related experience including 3+ years of software development experience.

Required Technical Skills:

• Full SDLC experience working in waterfall and agile environments
• Hands on experience working as a Scrum Master
• In depth understanding of the requirements elaboration process and the associated artifacts used in various stages of the SDLC
• Proven track record in working with Jira to manage, track and report requirements
• Knowledge of change management best practices including hands on experience working with Change Control Boards
• Experience working in an Azure cloud environment a plus

Specific skill sets required

• Agile Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Management, Monitoring and Reporting, Agile Adoption and Coaching
• Requirements Elicitation and Documentation, Requirements Analysis

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working with stakeholders and development teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands on experience managing integrated teams
• Proven ability to work independently while serving as an integral member of the team.
