The Whiskey Creek Hideout in Dania Beach Florida, part of the BG Signature Parks family is looking for self-driven, energetic Recreational Attendants to join our phenomenal team. We are located inside Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park. Our location is called "Hideout" for a reason, and we truly are a hidden treasure out here! We have lots of locals and value our customers like family, as well as one another as staff.

Our ideal candidate is ambitious, self-driven, personable and reliable. Takes initiative at the tasks at hand and has great customer service skills. MUST be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Experience in paddle sports is a plus, but not needed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all upkeep and inventory of rental equipment (kayaks, paddle-boards, canoes, beach chairs, umbrellas, paddles, and PFDs)
• Kayak launch labor: Pulling kayaks, canoes, paddle boards from racks and preparing for customers
• Distributing paddles and life jackets to guests; washing PFDs upon return
• Cashiering; processing transactions, opening and closing register
• Assisting customers with equipment and providing directions on a map as well as freely.
• Explain to all guests the rental and safety guidelines
• Have all guests complete a liability form, and verify completion after. Must have understanding of basic liability laws.
• All equipment has its place. End of each shift equipment must be put away and secured, and verified by manager.
• Keep rental station clean and organized
• Pull weeds, debris, and pick up trash during down time
• Keep launch area organized throughout shift; keep an eye on equipment throughout day.
• Clean all vessels and equipment thoroughly at the end of each shift.
• Availability for weekends and holidays are a must.
• Other duties as required by Management

Qualifications

• Can be outside in direct sun and in heat for a long duration of time.
• Can comfortably lift over 45 lbs.
• Works well in a team and outdoors environment.
• Clean background check
• Reliable Transportation
• CPR/ First Aid is a plus
• Bilingual is a plus
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Basic mathematical skills
