Job Description

• The Phlebotomist I supports patient care by greeting patients, answering questions with compassion, and maintaining the integrity of the waiting area.
• This role involves direct interaction with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures clearly and respectfully.
• The individual will assist with lobby operations, support phlebotomy staff during breaks, and receive training to develop phlebotomy skills.
• Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and professional environment, completing documentation accurately, and promoting a positive image to patients, clients, and coworkers.

• Ability to handle patients with care and compassion.
• Ability to assist with check-ins using a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
• Willingness to learn phlebotomy skills.
• Commitment to perform specimen collection and processing duties once trained.
• Strong customer service experience and skills.

• 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• No prior phlebotomy experience required.

• Greet patients and support them through the check-in process.
• Maintain the lobby and support patient flow.
• Assist with breaks when phlebotomists are unavailable.
• Learn and develop phlebotomy skills.
• Maintain documentation and records.
• Support a safe and professional work environment.
• Promote a positive and professional image to patients and staff.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
