Role Overview

We are seeking a Creative Director, Copy who operates as both an upstream conceptual thinker and a downstream executional craft leader. This person brings the energy, intuition, and taste of a creative spark plugsomeone who can riff in real time, ignite new ideas, elevate brand voice, and enhance the creative culture around them.

In this role, you will define and drive the verbal identity for campaigns, launches, content systems, packaging, product storytelling, and full?funnel activations. You will collaborate closely with Creative Directors (Art), writers, strategists, designers, motion artists, and cross?functional partners to bring breakthrough creative to life across multiple global brands.

This is a hands?on leadership role for a writer who loves concepting, shaping, and pushing brand language to its highest expression.

Key Responsibilities

Top?of?Funnel Narrative Strategy + Concept Development

• Develop upstream conceptual platforms, story territories, and narrative frameworks rooted in insight, product truth, and bold creative thinking.
• Turn product benefits and innovation into emotionally resonant stories that inspire, excite, and differentiate SharkNinja.
• Lead the creation of high?level concepts, scripts, voice frameworks, messaging hierarchies, and campaign thinking that guide teams downstream.

Copy Leadership + Spark Plug Behaviors

• Bring contagious energy to every roomsparking creative momentum and elevating ideas on the spot.
• Lead and inspire writers, art directors, designers, and external partners to produce breakthrough, high?impact work.
• Present creative with clarity, confidence, and passioneven to large executive audiencesclearly articulating the story, strategy, and rationale.
• Use feedback as fuel to push ideas further rather than pull them back.
• Model a hands?on, sleeves?up approach to writing, editing, and craft.

Downstream Execution + Language Craft Excellence

• Ensure world?class copy development across upper?funnel campaigns, digital and social content, retail, packaging, scripts, and product storytelling.
• Partner closely with art and motion teams to shape narrative pacing, tone, rhythm, and the verbal?visual relationship.
• Uphold writing standards for clarity, consistency, global relevance, and brand distinctivenesswhile empowering regional teams to localize with intention.
• Champion high craft across headlines, scripts, long?form storytelling, product messaging, naming, and voice.

Product Storytelling + Narrative Expression

• Translate complex technology and engineering into compelling, premium, consumer?first narratives.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, CI, and Marketing to ensure copy communicates innovation, performance, and emotional resonance.
• Develop stories from zero to onewriting early concepts, scripts, story structures, and guiding direction for shoots and content creation.

Creative Collaboration + Team Alignment

• Build strong partnerships with Art Creative Directors, Marketing, Insights, Product, and Sales.
• Unite teams with influence and generositysharpening ideas, elevating teammates, and strengthening shared creative direction.
• Manage relationships with external creative agencies, production partners, and freelance writers when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• 10+ years of copywriting and creative leadership experience at top?tier agencies, in?house studios, or consumer brand organizations.
• Portfolio demonstrating world?class writing, conceptual strength, campaign leadership, and brand storytelling.
• Proven ability to write and direct scripts, campaigns, content systems, product messaging, and integrated storytelling across channels.
• Expertise in shaping voice, tone, messaging architecture, narrative frameworks, and verbal identity.
• Strong understanding of digital, social, upper?funnel creative, and modern storytelling formats.
• Comfort operating in fast?paced, high?volume environments while maintaining impeccable standards of craft.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate creative thinking and inspire confidence at all levels.
• Relentless curiosity, competitive awareness, and passion for sharpening the brands verbal edge.
