Summary of Position:
St. Michael’s Catholic Preparatory School seeks a dynamic, experienced, collaborative, and creative Middle School History Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The candidate must work well on a team, have excellent oral and written communication skills with colleagues and the community, and be a motivated, life-long learner. Experience with inquiry-based curricula and instruction in research and academic writing is preferred. St. Michael’s Prep believes in teaching to the whole child, focusing on social and emotional development alongside a child’s academic progress. We know that children learn best and will take the necessary risks in the learning process when they feel confident, comfortable, and secure in their learning environment; therefore, we look to employ educators who value building relationships and teaching social and emotional skills in addition to providing excellent academic instruction.
This middle school position entails teaching four sections of history classes, one elective, and serving as a grade-level advisor. The teacher must develop and deliver lessons showcasing enthusiasm for using technology to enrich classroom interactions and foster connections with the global community. This is a full-time, 10-month faculty position that begins in August 2025.
