Maughan Prosthetic & Orthotic is currently looking for a full-time administrative assistant with medical office experience. This position requires excellent customer service skills, insurance knowledge and the ability to multi-task. Must also be punctual and reliable and have the ability to work professionally with co-workers and referral sources.
Duties include: Checking in/out patients, entering demographics in EMR system, answering phones, verifying insurance (eligibility, DME benefit coverage and obtaining authorization if required), referral and prescription management, scheduling patient appointments, collecting patient payments, opening and/or closing office and maintaining confidentiality pertaining to HIPAA requirements.
