This position’s primary responsibility is to ensure the Brokerage Operations Team, and our Customers have your support in the assistance in the classification of their products, and that the rules and regulations such as ADD/CVD and other government agency are adhered to.

Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities

The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are:

• Classification research upon request from co-workers and customers
• Ability to provide guidance on other agencies involved with a customer’s importation process such as TSCA, Lacey Act, FDA, Steel & Aluminum Licensing to name a few.
• Researching anti-dumping and countervailing and providing guidance to those findings
• Entry-Writing and ability to jump in to assist co-workers with their entries as well
• Knowledge of ISF, eManifest and AMS requirements
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of freight
• Ability to respond to situations in a prompt and professional manner
• Ability to work with the brokerage team to solve issues as necessary
• Performing other duties as assigned by manager

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong classification and regulatory knowledge in shoes, textiles, steel, aluminum, general office products and food products
• Protest, Post Summary Correction and Prior Disclosure experience
• C-TPAT and TSA Certification Process experience
• Minimum of 5 years brokerage experience
• Intermediate/Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word & Excel
• Descartes Oneview knowledge a huge plus.
