Junior Software Tester/User Support in

Position Type : Full-Time
Work Location: Hybrid remote/in-office. (see on-site requirements below).
**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Initial training will be mostly virtual, but may require occasional on-site visits during the first few months. Position may require occasional on-site work at Patuxent River, MD.
Essential Functions:
- User administration support - create new user accounts, manage current accounts, and troubleshoot account issues via ticketing system.
- Compile and document test cases and test plans for Agile software development team and support user testing.
- Perform system and integration testing for transactional applications and reports by executing test cases and documenting results.
- Support 508 compliance testing.
- Conduct troubleshooting of software issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Work closely with software developers to ensure understanding of and adherence to requirements.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
- Experience conducting software testing for IT web applications required.
Desired:
- PostgreSQL or Oracle database experience preferred.
- Experience providing requirements analysis for IT applications desired.
- Experience with GitLab highly desired.
- Automated testing experience desired.
- Basic programming understanding is a plus.
Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Active Secret clearance desired, interim Secret acceptable to start. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
Education:
HS and 2 years' experience required OR AA/AS or BA/BS degree required.
