Position Title: Instructor Trainer - Data Governance

Location: Austion, TX - Hybrid

Position Status: Contract

Rate: $45/hour on W2 (Based on experience)

Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE TEXAS ONLY.

The Instructor Trainer performs advanced training work to ensure employees are effectively trained in data governance tools supporting the metadata library project. This role involves developing and implementing standardized documentation of business and technical metadata across the agency's data governance tools. The Instructor Trainer will work closely with Data Governance, IT teams, and public health programs to facilitate metadata implementation and support other data governance priorities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement training curricula to support metadata documentation efforts.
• Present technical concepts in a clear and accessible way for non-technical program staff.
• Develop written communications, training materials, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective metadata implementation.
• Provide change management support to program staff during system and process transitions.
• Prepare and deliver verbal and written briefings for executive leadership and program stakeholders.
• Engage daily with public health program staff to support training and implementation efforts.

Required Experience:

• 5 years – Experience in designing, developing, and implementing training curricula, presenting technical information for non-technical staff.
• 5 years – Experience working directly with program/business staff to implement a technical solution and support change management.
• 5 years – Experience preparing verbal and written briefings and reports for executive staff and various audiences.
• 5 years – Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and building strong partnerships.
• Preferred Experience:
• 2 years – Experience working with Informatica data governance tools (Axon, Enterprise Data Catalog, and/or Informatica Data Quality).
• 2 years – Experience working with public health program areas or data assets.
• 2 years – Experience with web-based learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools.
