Job Description

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled Journeymen with HVAC experience, particularly those who have worked in heavy commercial markets, to work with advanced heavy commercial and industrial equipment. The role includes factory certification through the Service Technical Academy (STA) with milestone recognition, monetary rewards, advancement opportunities, increased incentives for executed pull-through work, and provision of top technology, equipment, uniforms, tools, and a vehicle. Journeymen must have a minimum of five years of practical experience in HVAC, pipefitting, and/or mechanical equipment service. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving problems, responding to basic warranty calls, participating in on-call rotations, and working overtime as needed. Required qualifications include Mechanical Journeyman status with a UA Journeyman card, 5+ years of HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience, a valid driver's license, appropriate refrigerant licenses (EPA universal), boiler and steam operational knowledge, good communication skills, ability to work independently and in teams, safety prioritization, integrity, customer service focus, and proficiency with iPhone apps. This is a bargaining unit position.
