Job Description
Phoenix Global is looking to hire a responsible safety driven professional as a Fire Watch Specialist to be responsible for continuously observing hot work activity to detect and respond to fires during hot work operations.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Ensuring firefighting equipment is ready
• Keeping the area free of combustible materials
• Watching for sparks, slag, or heat sources
• Warning workers if there's an excessive risk of fire
• Extinguishing small fires immediately
• Calling emergency services if necessary
Cross-training will be required to support other positions when needed. For example heavy equipment such as a bobcat, front-end loader, etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Ability to kneel, crawl, bend, and or climb without assistance
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to work in extreme heat or cold weather/environmental conditions
• Compliance with all Phoenix Global Safety Policies & Procedures, including wearing specific Personal Protective Equipment required for various job functions.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical & drug screen.
• Must be willing to work assigned shift

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus .

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
