Contract Position:

As a Finance MBA Intern you will assist the CFO in delivering models, forecasts and analyses that support investments decisions and resource allocation. This is a highly visible role with great potential to learn and contribute in a short period of time.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Evolve the Company’s long term financial planning tools with an eye towards balancing flexibility, simplicity and accuracy.
• Develop tools to support the Company’s near term financial planning/budgeting process. Ensure budget owners have adequate visibility into current spend and appropriate input into projecting future needs for the organization to prioritize.
• Perform analyses to support Board of Directors, current investor and potential investor information needs
• Investigate unexpected variances in the financial plan and guide forward looking forecasts based on updated facts

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or other relevant undergraduate degree
• Currently pursuing or recently completed an MBA
• Exceptional MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Proven analytical and financial modeling skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Investment banking or consulting experience a plus
• You thrive in complex business environments with multiple lines of business
• You are consistently able to adapt to changing priorities, startup experience is a plus
• You have exceptional communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial analyses and facilitating clear and effective communication in summary/presentation format
• You are a high energy, proactive problem solver who anticipates and addresses issues before they escalate

Our office is in Watertown, Massachusetts, but we’ve developed a robust remote working structure to give us more geographical flexibility while hiring for many positions. This role can be done largely remotely, there are several times a year when staff come together onsite for planning and team building.
