Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking an Environmental Engineering Manager at their Twin Falls Factory in Twin Falls, ID. This is a salaried position that directs & supervises the environmental engineer. Primary responsibilities include ensuring the Twin Falls facility operations are in compliance with environmental regulations, protective of public health/welfare & in accordance with the ASC's Environmental Policy.
Day-to-Day:
- With the support of the corporate and operations departments, ensures that the Twin Falls facility operations are in compliance with applicable environmental regulations, protective of public health & welfare and in accordance with the ASC’s Environmental Policy.
- Directs and supervises the Twin Falls facility environmental engineer.
- Reviews and evaluates facility environmental reports and other technical documents and ensures these documents are prepared in a professional manner and completed in accordance with regulatory requirements or request by regulatory agency personnel.
- Oversees & assists with the preparation of facility environmental permit applications or other regulatory approvals for existing, modified, and new facility operations.
- As needed, evaluates or audits facility environmental monitoring data or information to ensure the data is collected in accordance with applicable permit or regulatory regulations.
- Assists with developing and evaluating facility environmental improvement projects considering effectiveness and costs.
- Reports on progress of environmental projects to the corporate environmental group (or Director of Environmental) and takes necessary measures to ensure projects progress in a timely manner.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in any engineering discipline, preferably Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering (NEED engineering degree)
- 10+ years of relevant working experience, as well as previous managerial/supervisor exp.
- Considerable knowledge of facility air pollution emission sources, wastewater treatment system & conservation release measures, solids management activities, oil & chemical clean up and reporting procedures, energy conservation measures and other environmental related facility wide activities.
- Considerable knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Considerable knowledge of environmental permitting, monitoring, reporting, and record keeping requirements.
- Considerable knowledge of current environmental engineering design practices.
- Must be comfortable coming on-site 5x per week
