Creative Content Strategist – Social Media (Beauty Industry Required)

Location:  Bolingbrook, IL (Remote)

Duration: 6+ Months – Contract-to-Hire Potential

Role Type : W2 Contract Engagement

Overview:

This role requires a seasoned creative professional with deep experience in content strategy, particularly across social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and others such as Threads and Pinterest. Key responsibilities include working closely with the Director of Social Creative to develop always-on content, while translating business goals into engaging, repeatable series, franchises, and tactics for creative production.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Strong knowledge of beauty culture and experience in brand storytelling.
• A background in either art/visual or copy/editorial but with expertise in both, ensuring effective creative direction.
• A balance of creativity and strategic thinking, capable of working in fast-paced environments and reacting in real-time to social and cultural trends.

The position is remote, with flexibility in hours (40 for full-time, or 25-30 for part-time) and offers the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time role in 2025.

looking for candidates with experience at agencies or in-house retail brands specifically as social creative strategists or creative lead/manager roles. Many past candidates have been design/art creatives with social as one aspect of their work. The need is for a social-native creative who can shoot content on their phone or small kit, as well as editorialize a content calendar and create pitch decks and brief back decks; a blend of both content/editorial and art direction.
