Position: Tax Supervisor (Remote)
Location: This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home.
About the Role:
As a Tax Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing tax reporting, planning, and compliance functions. You will be responsible for identifying solutions to potential tax issues, staying up-to-date with new tax legislation, and communicating any relevant changes to your team. In addition, you will guide clients on tax planning and compliance matters and supervise the preparation of accurate tax returns aimed at minimizing tax obligations for both individuals and organizations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both individual and business taxation. You will also need to be a team player, collaborating with others throughout various stages of engagement to deliver excellent results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance functions for clients.
- Develop solutions for complex tax issues, ensuring compliance with current laws and regulations.
- Stay informed about the latest changes in tax legislation and keep the team updated.
- Advise clients on tax planning strategies, tax research, and tax compliance.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate tax returns that minimize tax liabilities.
- Collaborate with team members to manage multiple engagements effectively.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A valid Florida CPA license is required.
- Participation in career development programs to enhance supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills.
