We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Corporate Tax Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in tax compliance and accounting practices to prepare and file corporate and partnership tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file corporate, S-corporation, and partnership tax returns using Lacerte Tax Software.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by reviewing financial statements and resolving discrepancies.
• Conduct tax planning and forecasting to optimize tax efficiency and identify savings opportunities.
• Research and analyze changing tax laws to assess their impact on corporate and partnership entities.
• Collaborate with clients, auditors, and tax authorities to address inquiries and manage tax notices or audits.
• Maintain organized and secure client tax records in line with company policies.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced team members when necessary.
• Assist in implementing tax-saving strategies to minimize liabilities while ensuring regulatory compliance.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience preparing corporate and partnership tax returns with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software is required.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax adjustments, partnership allocations, and multi-state filings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing complex tax scenarios.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and team members.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to thrive under tight deadlines during peak tax seasons.
