Job Title: LMSW, LCSW, LAPC or LPC

Location: DeKalb County, GA and Rockdale County, GA

Job Type: In-Person ( Stonecrest,GA OR Conyers, GA)

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated social services workers to support individuals and families in specific Georgia counties and communities . This role involves assisting clients facing serious challenges such as neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health struggles, and parental substance abuse . The position requires strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills to help clients access essential resources and navigate difficult situations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide client support through phone calls, virtual meetings, and in-person visits.
  • Conduct home, office, and community-based visits to assess client needs and provide assistance.
  • Evaluate and gather information to understand each clients unique situation and challenges.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and trauma-informed care to individuals and families in distress.
  • Refer clients to essential services by connecting them with local agencies and resources.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all services provided, maintaining compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Participate in court proceedings, DFCS meetings, and other mandated discussions related to family welfare.
  • Educate and support clients and families by offering information, guidance, and access to resources.
  • Assess for signs of child abuse, neglect, and attachment concerns to ensure childrens safety and well-being.
  • Engage in continuous learning through required training, supervision, and staff meetings.

Social Worker Requirements

  • Masters degree in psychology, social work, counseling, family therapy, or a related field. Candidates must be eligible for licensure as LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, or higher . CMAC or CACII credentials may be considered with a Masters degree.
  • Ability to work in a Hybrid Community/Office/Virtual Environment serving Rockdale, Henry, Gwinnett, Dekalb, Walton, and/or Newton counties.
  • Experience working with clients facing issues such as neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health challenges, and parental substance abuse.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to give full attention to clients, understand their concerns, ask appropriate questions, and avoid interruptions.
  • Emotional intelligence and awareness , recognizing and understanding others reactions and responding effectively.
  • Sound judgment skills , able to weigh the costs and benefits of potential actions and determine the most effective solutions for client care.
  • Comfortable with technology , including computers, cell phones, and various apps for documentation and communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite , including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to stay calm and show empathy when working with clients in distress.
  • Skilled in developing treatment plans tailored to individual and family needs.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and best practices.
  • Valid drivers license, clean criminal record, and ability to pass a drug screening.
