Job Description
We are a fast-paced, high-quality dermatology practice dedicated to providing exceptional medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care. We’re seeking a skilled and reliable Back Office Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of dermatology experience and be comfortable assisting providers with both medical and surgical procedures , including excisional and Mohs surgeries .
Responsibilities
Prepare patients for medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology procedures
Assist physicians during examinations, biopsies, excisions, and Mohs procedures
Scribe during patient encounters and accurately document in the EMR (ModMed EMA preferred)
Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure compliance with safety and procedural standards
Provide excellent patient care with a friendly, professional demeanor
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of dermatology experience required
Experience assisting with excision or Mohs procedures preferred
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) , especially ModMed EMA (preferred)
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
