About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to join their team. The CRO will be responsible for overseeing all risk management activities, working with risk partners and stakeholders to address both existing and emerging risks. This role requires a proactive team member with extensive experience in the payments industry and a deep understanding of Irish regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a strategic perspective while also engaging in hands-on tasks such as risk identification, reporting, and developing risk management frameworks. Collaboration with the Group Risk function is essential to coordinate the development of the EU risk management strategy and define risk appetite. Applicants for the CRO position at the company should have a background in risk and compliance within regulated environments, with significant experience in risk management and a strong knowledge of core risk management principles. The role involves localizing group risk frameworks, policies, and methodologies, as well as working with various teams to develop operational risk frameworks. The ideal candidate will have the ability to establish and implement risk strategies aligned with organizational goals and will be adept at building trusted relationships to promote a culture of risk management across the business. While not all requirements are mandatory, the company is particularly interested in candidates with comprehensive knowledge of European and Irish financial regulations, and experience in the technology, payment network, or financial institution sectors.
