Warehouse Picker/Puller (Night Shift)

We are looking for a WAREHOUSE Picker/Puller for our meat distribution center in Richmond, VA.

Multiple Shifts Available:

Job Summary:

Ensures that warehouse functions are completed safely, accurately, and on time within company standards. Unloads receives and processes inbound products. Moves product around the distribution center to ensure efficient processing, and prepares pick locations. Accurately picks, packs, sorts, and loads outbound products following customer specifications.

Core Responsibilities:

• Unloads pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually and/or using a pallet jack, motorized pallet jack, sit down or stand-up forklift, and standing reach truck.
• Accurately counts, verifies, and receives products using WMS equipment.
• Document variances.
• Maintains productivity and quality standards.
• Follows safety policies and procedures and corrects or communicates hazards to management.
• Physical labor included such as lifting weights up to 50 lbs. and standing still for long periods of time in a cold environment from 32*F to -6*F.

Requirements and experience:

• General knowledge of math, reading. Equal to a high school diploma.
• Prior experience working in a distribution center is preferred.
• For some functions, one must be able to operate a forklift and pick items as high as 35 feet in the air.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, squat and kneel often, and lift 30 to 50 pounds, as needed.
• Bilingual (preferred not required).
• E-Verify.
