About the position: We are presently seeking to fill a Warehouse Driver position in our Liverpool location, with a starting pay rate of $44.45. In addition, we offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) plan, vacation, tuition assistance and more.
Under general supervision to safely drive and operate tractor-trailers to deliver material/equipment to and from National Grid facilities, contractor job sites and other various locations. To operate, load/unload mobile equipment onto trailer. Drivers will be required to sort, handle load and unload freight at Company and Customer locations. Operate Mobile Equipment at CDC, Crew locations, Contractor and Company Job sites/locations. Work in stock handler capacity when not driving. Ride with new drivers for Safety & Training of delivery routes & Company locations
Job Qualifications: - Must have 3 years driving experience with CDL A unrestricted license
- Must obtain an M Coil Endorsement within 3 months of hire.
- Must obtain a valid Forklift license within 3 months of hire.
- Must pass valid aptitude test
- Lifting, Carrying and counting at proper heights & weight limits.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have a valid drivers license
NOTE: Classification is for the following locations: Central, East and West Division
*Warehouse will provide seasonal high visibility fire retardant coveralls (bibs) for winter and summer.
Salary: Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company's testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
Many of the terms and conditions of employment for this position are defined by a collective bargaining agreement that the Company has with a local union. Newly hired employees are bound by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement as well as other agreements between the Company and the local union.
