VP of Business Applications and Data Analytics
Real Estate Industry Focus
Downtown Los Angeles, CA hybrid schedule 3 days onsite, 2 days WFH Summary This position will be responsible for overseeing the technical delivery for Business Applications (Salesforce, Yardi + RealPage primarily) and Data Analytics. This role does not have internal direct reports, but will have 2 PMs that will assist with project management. This VP will work closely with strategic vendors to optimize the applications and data to drive business value, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role will also partner closely with the business to ensure optimal change management processes, ensuring internal users understand how to derive the most value from the technology and data projects this VP is driving.
What you'll be doing - Spearhead the strategy, vision, development, and optimization of our tech platform, covering data, applications, infrastructure, software, and cybersecurity.
- Collaborate with the management team to establish a robust technological presence within the organization. Develop tech solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve the resident experience.
- Enhance, maintain, and automate our existing ecosystem, which includes essential systems like Yardi (accounting), Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Avid Exchange, Oracle, Sage, Snowflake, and PowerBI. Work closely with functional teams to streamline technology processes related to various aspects of our business.
- Lead and promote the utilization of our data and analytics platform, consolidating data from diverse sources into a centralized reporting and dashboard hub for use across the enterprise. Data is a core strategic focus, and we're counting on your expertise in this area.
- Establish the framework and governance necessary to scale and expand our platform.
- Provide leadership in developing enterprise-class architecture, serving as the executive technical architect for all aspects.
- Mentor and lead a growing team, inspiring and managing technical teams composed of both internal staff and external partners. A passion for both people and tech is essential.
- Advocate for cybersecurity policies, procedures, and frameworks, including regular independent assessments to safeguard sensitive data and systems' integrity, security, and privacy.
- Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring a return on investment for capital and time resources.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of our company's business operations.
- Contribute technology updates as required to quarterly board materials.
- Regularly engage with the company, keeping them informed about technology developments and offering guidance on how they can contribute to our tech initiatives.
Skills we're seeking - 8+ years of experience in IT focused roles
- 5+ years of experience with Technology Leadership, with both Business Applications and Data
- Must have experience in the Real Estate industry, leading projects related to Property Management applications such as Yardi or RealPage
- Must have experience leading data focused projects, including optimizing data pipelines, data warehousing and analytics/Client
- Must have experience with Vendor Management
