BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Usability Researcher Professional Job for an opportunity at Remote! Position Title: Usability Researcher Location: Remote Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. Expected Duration: Contract of 06 Months (Hours per Week: 40) and possibility of extension Job Type: Contract and Remote Pay Range: $75 - $80/hr. on w2 Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Top Skills: Years of Experience Required: 10+ overall years of experience in the field. Degrees or certifications required: A relevant degree or significant on-the-job experience is expected Minimum 10+ years' experience with UX benchmark type research. Minimum 8+ years' experience with project management, organizing, and planning is critical A minimum of 8+ years' experience with qualitative research experience is necessary, in addition to quantitative skills, for a balanced approach to research Job Description: Responsibilities Research Planning and Execution: Design and execute research to identify and evaluate opportunities for client Copilot compared with key competitors Generative and Evaluative Research: Conduct qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods research to generate insights for Microsoft 365 and Copilot. Data Analysis and Synthesis: Analyze and synthesize diverse data sources, prioritize findings, and clearly summarize project work. Project Management: Coordinate with multiple research partners, study recruitment vendors/panel management, and research ops to move projects forward. Hands-on Research Execution: study design, execute interviews, survey creation, analysis, etc. Rapid Insight Generation: Execute research and compile insights quickly to maximize impact. Rapid Output Generation: Creating assets such as videos, presentations, and documents to summarize the insights. Skills & Experience (Required) An advanced degree in Engineering, Social Science, or other data or research-centric field. Proven experience in designing and executing mixed-methods UX research, including observing, understanding, and synthesizing human behavior into insights, to drive customer-focused product development. Exceptional project management, organizing, and planning skills with keen attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and influence data-driven decisions. Proficiency in qualitative research methods, insight synthesis, and generating insightful reports/outputs. A passion for translating ideas, needs, and requests into rigorous and valid research questions. A passion for the hands-on process of conducting research with customers and end-users and then creating succinct research reports and summaries Skills & Experience (Desirable) An advanced degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or related fields. Experience conducting user research on AI, particularly generative AI (LLMs) Experience incorporating accessibility and DEI concerns in research from recruiting through analysis.
