Certifications and Licenses:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice \n
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification \n
• NSQIP or Neuro/Spine certification preferred \n
• Craniotomy and burr hole experience required \n

Job Description:
\nJoin Hendrick Medical Center as a Skilled RN in the Operating Room, specializing in Neuro/Spine, Orthopedics/Trauma, and General/Robotics surgeries. The ideal candidate will begin either on December 1st or December 15th, with flexibility to accommodate the facility’s scheduling needs. This position involves working three 12-hour day shifts per week, with potential late days and on-call responsibilities to ensure comprehensive perioperative patient care. Experience in craniotomy and burr hole procedures is essential for success in this role.

Your responsibilities will include preparing operating rooms, assisting surgeons during procedures, monitoring patients’ vital signs, and providing exceptional post-operative care. You will collaborate closely with surgical teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout all phases of surgery.

What You Bring:

\n

\n
• Active RN license in the state where services are rendered\n
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience , with specific expertise in neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, and general surgeries, including robotics\n
• Craniotomy and burr hole procedure experience required\n
• Ability to work flexible hours, including late days and on-call shifts\n
• Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail\n
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities\n
• Proven ability to adapt to fast-paced and high-pressure environments\n

Preferred Education & Experience:

\n

\n
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)\n
• Prior experience working in a hospital setting, preferably within a trauma or neurosurgical unit\n
• Certifications in specialized surgical procedures or advanced perioperative nursing are a plus\n
