Night shift, 3x12-hour (18:45 - 07:15).

\n\nJob Description\n

The Registered Nurse will provide critical care to patients on the Neurosurgical/Medical unit. The role involves monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care. Neuro experience is preferred, particularly with patients undergoing pre/post-neurosurgery and those with cerebrovascular accidents (CVA).

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individual care plans.
\n
• Administer IV medications and manage insulin protocols.
\n
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies.
\n
• Perform wound care and manage surgical drains.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
\n
• Float to other units as needed, ensuring versatile care delivery.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical surgical or neurosciences unit.
\n
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are required; ACLS and CPI are preferred.
\n
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
\n
• Charge experience is preferred.
\n
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty.
\n
