Metas Solutions has an opening for an experienced Training and Development Specialist to consult on a program initiative to establish a modernized public health (PH) data ecosystem, including efforts to modernize infrastructure and system needs to help federal, state, tribal, local, and territorial (STLT). Global public health organizations and institutions make decisions about necessary improvements that will allow data to flow more seamlessly.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Training Specialist Lead in delivering task management support focusing on training task deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, educational workshops, and detailed documentation to prepare end-user audiences for new enhancements and overall solutions.
  • Support Training Delivery, including internal users, external partners, and providers.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting technology issues with webinars.
  • Support Training Planning Activities, including developing training plans and curricula for system user groups.
  • Coordinate training schedules with end users and clients to accommodate the timing of the release of system enhancements.
  • Support Training Material Creation and Maintenance, including developing new training materials and the ongoing system training curriculum.
  • Provide periodic and ad hoc assessment of existing training material and training.
  • Recommend improvements or required changes based on system changes and updates to the functionality or enhanced workflows or based on further clarification/details resulting from issues raised through training feedback or Contact Help Center inquiries.
  • Ensure Section 508 Compliance for all training and other communications materials.
  • Provide resolution assistance to end user defects/issues as they are reported to the contact center or during training; assistance providing additional training support as well as training documentation for problematic areas or areas requiring workarounds.
  • Support as needed in the creation, design, editing, and reviewing of Organizational Change Management and communication documents for both public and non-public distribution.
  • Support local travel to offsite settings as required, including local offsite settings and conference venues in the Metro Atlanta area to conduct training or provide support hours.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with Entry-level to Senior-level experience, preferably within a federal agency, public health organization, or state-based public health program.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effectively communicating with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook; Documentation Management; and other technologies such as Zoom or Webex Conferences).
