Salary: $28.88 plus $4.57 Health & Welfare

GStek is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Telecommunications Inside Plant Technician opening to provide s upport at our Fort Johnson, LA location.

Required:

• Minimum of 3 years OSP/ISP cable maintenance experience.
• Strong background in Telephony Inside Plant service to include maintenance and service of associated switches, servers, and peripheral components, copper and fiber optic cable installation, maintenance.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Active/recent Secret U.S. Government security clearance.

Highly Desired:

· VOIP experience.

· IAT Level II certifications.

Job Description:

• Repair and maintain ISP cable facilities including switches, servers, and associated cabling.
• Assure dependable and uninterrupted operation of telephone communications by proactively identifying problems.
• Identify problems by using electronic testing equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb.
• Lift and move items over 50 pounds.
• Vision: close, distance, color, and peripheral vision. Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
