This position is ideal for a collaborative technical writer who loves simplifying scientific and technical ideas to create easy-to-read and understandable documents. A successful candidate will be comfortable in a manufacturing environment and have a flair for creating marketing materials as well as technical documents.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with software engineers to develop, edit, and refine all software documentation for system control and analysis.
Authors technical documentation and diagnostic service procedures gathered from engineering resources and develops systems troubleshooting and maintenance manuals.
Interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
Develop all Environmental, Health, and Safety documentation as required.
Manage new and existing documentation to ensure information is relevant and accurate.
Assist in developing marketing materials for print and digital ad campaigns.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, or Computer Science.
3-5 years experience in technical writing, ideally with a mechanical or electrical focus.
Understanding of machine operating principles.
Experience with Madcap Flare or other XML content authoring tools is required .
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
Excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
Demonstrated ability to understand and write about complex information and make it understandable in text and through images and media.
Excellent work ethic and strong intellectual curiosity.
