Job Summary:

Fellows CPA Solutions is seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our growing firm. This is an excellent opportunity to get in at the ground floor and grow with us as we expand. The position focuses exclusively on processing tax returns and does not require client-facing responsibilities. We are open to experienced tax preparers, including those with a CPA license, and are also looking for candidates with experience in farm tax preparation. Personal discipline, the ability to work solo, and taking initiative are essential for success in this role. Flexible part-time or full-time hours are available, and compensation is based on experience and qualifications.

We also have an office in Clearwater, KS, which may be more convenient for some candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare tax returns (accurately and efficiently.
• Utilize Drake Tax software to process and file tax returns.
• Review client financial records and tax documents to ensure proper filing.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
• Take initiative in managing your workload and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Work independently and manage the entire tax preparation process from start to finish.
• Farm tax preparation and ensure compliance with agricultural tax laws Is a plus.
• Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in accounting or a related field is a plus. if you are a CPA that is a major plus.
• Experience: At least 2-3 years of tax preparation experience, preferably using Drake Tax software

Skills:

• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, with farm tax prep experience being a plus.
• Proficiency in Drake Tax software for tax preparation.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently process tax returns.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in tax preparation.
• PTIN required.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong personal discipline and initiative to complete tasks independently.

• This position is based in a professional office setting at Fellows CPA Solutions in Wichita, KS, or Clearwater, KS, depending on location preference.
