Job Description
The Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager is responsible for management, oversight and implementation of all recruitment activities and programs across Silver Bay Seafoods including job descriptions, sourcing, recruiting, hiring, staffing agencies, backgrounds by developing quality sustainable and appropriate talent acquisition strategies, under the leadership of the VP of People. Sourcing all outlets as appropriate including internal employees, online databases, employee referrals, internet resources and special outreach programs. The TA Manager will proactively partner with internal hiring managers and is responsible for ensuring our internal staffing commitments are met and efficiently communicating changes or deviations from targets.
The TA Manger will be a critical part of our Company's growth strategy, partnering with a diverse group of teams to creatively identify and recruit top talent that will drive us forward. The Talent Acquisition Manager responsibilities include educating and coaching the recruitment team on effective interviewing techniques, and managing our recruitment databases (Phenom, UKG, TextRecruit, FB Ads Manager, indeed, etc.) in addition to preparing hiring reports on all recruiting campaigns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The responsibilities of the position include the following: - Design and execute talent strategies that enhance the organization's visibility/reputation in key recruiting markets.
- Develop ways to encourage the formation of diverse teams across the organization, including own.
- Work with other Operations Team Leaders, HR Business Partners and other internal Business Leaders to create recruiting strategies for key roles, including pathway roles and pipeline initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement in the candidate's overall experience in the hiring process, data and analytics, and recruiter productivity.
- Manage recruiter capacity while bringing innovative ideas and recruiting techniques to the Talent Acquisition function that enhance our digital capabilities.
- Create, develop and manage project plans in support of department and team initiatives.
- Understand and influence team/department level activities - triage, diagnose and work in partnership to remedy issues that are impacting time to fill and/or an ideal candidate experience.
- Improve sources, processes, and KPIs related to key positions. Build out data and analytics to measure the return on investment (ROI) of talent acquisition programs, including metrics on source of hire, time to hire/time to fill, measurement of candidate experience, quality of hiring and ensuring a diverse pipeline of talent branding.
- Stay up to date with recruiting trends, best practices and cutting edge ideas around all facets of Talent Acquisition, and develop ways to incorporate new ideas into current recruiting plans.
- Monitor recruiting and employment legal trends and compliance updates to ensure that company practices are up to date and in compliance with local, state and federal requirements.
- Provide hands-on leadership to the Talent Acquisition (TA) team to positively support, mentor and manage direct report employees.
- Positively and proactively collaborate with other departments, such as Employee Experience (EEX) and HR teams, to ensure that the employee lifecycle is cohesive and matches company values throughout process, with smooth transitions and communication between departments

Education and Experience: - Must have over 10 years of demonstrated success in rapidly scaling environments that require significant influencing and partnership across the business to accomplish operational goals.
- 15+ years of previous HR experience, with 10 years minimum of Talent Acquisition COE/Recruiting Management and Leadership experience.
- 8+ years of management experience instilling trust and credibility with your team while guiding, developing, coaching, and managing individual and team performance.
- Proven track record of developing effective strategies to recruit and hire employees through effective sourcing and evaluation processes.
- Experience implementing a wide range of creative and thoughtful talent operation strategies and programs in a fast-paced, high-growth company.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and collaborating working across various levels of the organization.
- Must possess proven experience in high volume and seasonal recruiting environments.
- Previous seafood industry or food manufacturing industry experience is strongly recommended.
- Deep knowledge of global recruitment strategies and branding.
Work Environment and Schedule: This position is for our Seattle, WA corporate office. Open to hybrid (for right candidate), would require at least 3 days per week in office.
Physical Demands: Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle packages, inventory, and material handling equipment. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, push, twist, and pull. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Mental Activities: Excellent at working independently and as a team member with a good work ethic, and good decision-making skills. Able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities. Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, be flexible and stress resistant. The employee will occasionally be required to exercise independent judgment and use discretion.
Salary Disclosure: The typical base pay range for this role is $120,000-$140,000 per year. Individual base pay depends on numerous factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
