Department of General Surgery; Surgery Scheduler - Evanston Position Highlights: Position: Surgery Scheduler Location: Primary, Evanston Hospital Full Time/Part Time: Full Time Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm Required Travel: Travel may be required based on business needs What you will do: Coordinate surgical scheduling between physicians and patients Manage Surgery requests Manage block time utilization Book surgical cases Utilize wait lists for appointments/procedures Input referrals Communicate with patients, Pre-authorization staff, financial services, OR admin team Communicate basic pre-op requirements Support routine patient calls Support patient with scheduling necessary testing, pre-op appointments Manage physician template Support other departmental surgery schedulers as needed Be present in-person for physician clinic days; as space allows What you will need: Must be able to perform multiple tasks, problem solve, and produce detailed, precise work product. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to use Outlook and utilize multiple computer applications and operating systems concurrently. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs preferred Epic knowledge and experience preferred Must be a team player and possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
