Your Role

As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a vital role in the lives of your patients. You’ll engage in individual, group, and family counseling, collaborating with a dedicated treatment team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Your work will directly contribute to their overall well-being and recovery journey.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
• Document patient progress through counseling and group interactions.
• Create individualized treatment plans within required time frames.
• Identify and address clinical/case management needs.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling as needed.
• Maintain at least 20 hours of direct patient contact weekly.
• Educate patients on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
• Obtain Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification.
• Act in the best interests of the program and protect proprietary data.

Essential Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field is required. You must also have TCADC training status and obtain your certification within 3 years of hire.

Experience: While experience in the substance abuse field is preferred, it is not required. We value passion and dedication!
