About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Structured Cabling Estimator to join our team. This role is critical in preparing accurate cost estimates for structured cabling projects, including voice, data, fiber optics, and low-voltage systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and RFPs to develop accurate cabling estimates
• Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs for structured cabling installations
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and sales teams to ensure estimates align with project scope
• Prepare detailed proposals and bid packages for clients
• Maintain updated knowledge of cabling standards, codes, and industry best practices
• Build and maintain vendor relationships to obtain competitive pricing
• Track and analyze project costs to improve future estimating accuracy

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an estimator in structured cabling, telecommunications, or low-voltage systems
• Strong understanding of cabling infrastructure (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics, racks, patch panels, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Preferred: BICSI certification or equivalent industry credentials
