Job Description

Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Web Software Develoepr with extensive experience in both front-end and back-end development to maintain, enhance, and migrate enterprise-level web applications. This role involves resolving production issues, designing new features, and working with modern development tools and frameworks, including Java, Spring, React JS, RESTful APIs, and Oracle databases.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve production issues and monitor systems for software defects.
  • Provide off-hour support for high and critical issues, including weekends.
  • Design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end web applications.
  • Investigate and incorporate new technologies and features into the development process.
  • Migrate applications from Struts 1 and Struts 2 to Spring, and from WebSphere to Tomcat.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in Java (Java 6-17) with extensive experience in JSP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, React JS, and Ajax.
  • Back-end expertise in Hibernate (3-5), iBatis, MyBatis, Kafka, Struts, Spring, SOAP Web Services, XML Parsing, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with IBM Web Server technologies (WebSphere, Rational Application Developer).
  • Proficiency in version control systems (SVN, Tortoise SVN, GitHub).
  • Familiarity with CICD tools such as SonarQube and Jenkins.
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle databases, including SQL development and stored procedures.
  • Experience with migration projects (e.g., Struts to Spring, WebSphere to Tomcat).
  • Knowledge of Mainframe, AFT, and Control-M for scheduled job management.
  • Minimum 10 years of software development experience, including 4+ years in web-based development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Ability to train and mentor junior developers.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with end users.
  • Clearance requirement: Able to obtain Postal clearance
