About the Role
As a Senior SEO Specialist, you'll lead our organic strategy with creativity and expertise. You'll have the freedom to drive organic search efforts, reporting to and supported by the Digital Marketing Manager. Your mission will be to enhance organic rankings and traffic for a select group of our top-tier products.
You will have the opportunity to mentor and influence a team of four dedicated SEO Specialists, guiding them to achieve great results in search engine rankings. Your contributions will have a significant impact, giving you plenty of chances to shine!

A Day in the Life of the Senior SEO Specialist
If you're looking for a routine job, this role is not for you. As a Senior SEO Specialist, your daily tasks will vary, ensuring each day is engaging and dynamic. You'll need to adapt quickly to the ever-evolving world of SEO (thanks, Google!).
A typical day might include:
Conducting website audits and keyword research
Building links and developing/executing content strategies
Reviewing page layouts and designs
Analyzing competitors and markets
Consulting on site speed and technical best practices
Project planning and reporting
Creating content briefs and reviewing content drafts
Collaborating with other teams and leading community practice meetings
Presenting on upcoming projects
As a senior leader on the team, you'll engage in collective problem-solving, mentor others, and help elevate your team members by sharing insights on their SEO strategies.
What You Need to Succeed
You have a deep understanding of Search Engine Optimization and a passion for organic search. Your project management skills are strong, and your ability to analyze data and track KPIs will guide your success.
Collaboration and communication with stakeholders and fellow SEO professionals are key aspects of this role. You should be comfortable discussing outcomes, learning from failures, and adapting strategies based on market research and performance metrics.

Work Schedule
This full-time role offers flexibility in your work arrangement, whether fully remote, a hybrid of in-office and remote, or fully in-office. While your schedule should align with MST business hours, evening and weekend work is rarely required. Your exact hours will be coordinated with your manager.

Requirements
5+ years of experience managing SEO strategy and execution
Proven results in running national organic campaigns (local SEO experience alone is not sufficient)
Ability to develop comprehensive SEO strategies
Proficiency with Google Analytics and Google Search Console
Familiarity with marketing tools (e.g., Moz, Semrush, Ahrefs)
Strong project management skills
Extensive experience in content strategy development and management
Hands-on experience with link building, technical audits, and content creation
Familiarity with WordPress
Willingness to learn about the insurance industry and its marketing
Confidence in leading meetings and providing constructive feedback
A humble, hungry, smart, and proactive attitude
Preferred Skills and Experience
Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets
Experience with data visualization tools like Looker Studio or Databox
Background in eCommerce, SaaS/software, or subscription-based industries
