The Hanover Technology Group is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Administrator for our Workstation Support Services team in our Worcester, MA office or remote work consideration.
This is a full time, exempt role. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Senior Infrastructure Administrator will be responsible for supporting the Hanover Workstation environment focused on ensuring the general availability, maintenance, and performance of the environment. This will require collaboration with appropriate IT teams to raise issues/risks within the environment with a focus to reduce incidents and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
The Senior Infrastructure Administrator will help to meet the Hanover's needs for computer hardware, software, and management tools. Build, test, install, configure, support, administer, and troubleshoot technology, connectivity, and solutions. Need to be highly effective working in a matrixed organization and demonstrate and value innovation in how you perform the job and contribute to the success of the organization. This position will play a key role in workstation project delivery and support the organizations ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, etc.) processes.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: - Manage workstations using Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager/System Center Configuration Manager, Group policy, Active Directory, and VMWare tools.
- Manage and maintain OS and workstation security configuration aligned with Hanover security standards.
- Manage work to governing SLA's and aligned with Hanover's work intake prioritization processes.
- Monitor the health of the configuration management systems to ensure stability of the environment. Collaborate proactively with various IT teams as needed to keep systems healthy and operational.
- Maintenance of the Microsoft Endpoint ManagerIntuneSystem Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) systems. Activities include but not limited to validating distribution point health, drive upgrades aligned to Microsoft's roadmap, and log monitoring for proactive issue resolution.
- Create and maintain documentation for team processes and procedures.
- Plan, lead and implement modern workstation solutions as technologies change or new technologies become available.
- Manage product roadmaps, work with key stakeholders for education, awareness, and implementation.
- Provide technical support across Hanover IT and business units.
- Make decisions under pressure, balancing the need to gather detailed information and perform analysis, with the need for timeliness.
- Participate in and promote co-operative working relationships across organizations including knowledge sharing and partnership in achieving solutions.
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY: - Experience managing workstations using IntuneMicrosoft Endpoint ManagerSystem Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) in a co-managed environment.
- Experience using Active Directory, Group policy, and Azure AD.
- Experience using VMWare vCenter and VMWare Horizon to manage a virtual workstation environment.
- Ability to manage HP multifunction printing device fleet through HP available tools such as HP Advance, HP Access Control, HP Security Manager and HP Webjet Admin.
- Experience using packaging and deployment technologies such as Flexera AdminStudio, Microsoft App-V Sequencer, PowerShell, Application Deployment Toolkit, Intune and Microsoft Endpoint ManagerAdept at creating, deploying and maintaining PowerShell scripts to manage the environment.
- Experience using imaging technologies such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager, VMWare vCenter, VMWare Horizon, Windows Autopilot and MDT.
- Experience deploying Windows OS servicing updates using Microsoft Endpoint Manager or Intune.
- Experience and strong understanding of Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager reporting including SQL.
- Experience using ServiceNow for requests and incident management.
- 5-7 years of workstation packaging, software deployment, image management, and configuration management experience
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) and VMWare products to manage a workstation fleet.
- Demonstrated experience in a process-oriented organization.
- Highly responsive and proven professionalism in communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to quickly identify and resolve issues and work with a context of formal and informal process.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office applications for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong communication and customer service skills (written and spoken)
- Must be self-sufficient person who can work on their own with minimum oversight.
- Strong process-oriented individual with experience in ITIL concepts.
