Gartner Peer Community is the world's most influential network of business leaders exclusively for Gartner end-user clients where they can discuss key issues and critical business decisions. We're looking for an experienced Community Manager who can consistently drive client visits, participation, and engagement within Peer Community, ensuring a valuable experience where clients can learn from each other and get answers to their questions in an online community. This role is responsible for building, nurturing, and managing role specific communities on the Gartner Peer Community Platform. This role will recruit and engage with community members across social media, email, newsletters, within GPC and more, curate content for internal and external newsletters, moderate GPC's discussions, address concerns within the community, and facilitate positive interactions with their "Ambassador" members.
Additionally, you will continually seek out and drive improvements to process, best practices, across the Community Team, oversee the creation and effectiveness of automated community outreach, including regular communications and intermittent announcements to drive contributions and engagement. Train and act as a mentor to new community managers, and maintain and create new materials to help in the success of all community managers.
Job Description: - Recruitment and Relationship Management:
- Owns the recruitment effort for "Ambassadors" or power users, focusing on high-profile executives.
- Manages 200+ relationships with these users, ensuring they are responsive and act on requests as a VIP concierge.
- Find and manage opportunities with professional groups or networks to expand knowledge and utilization of platform to large groups
User Onboarding and Support: - Conducts demos, onboards, and provides support to executive-level users
Platform Oversight: - Moderates discussions and activity in accordance with GPC's guidelines.
- Gathers user feedback to help shape product and content direction.
Audience Engagement and Amplification: - Amplifies success stories, curates content, and serves as an expert tour guide.
- Identifies and communicates the value message that drives organic engagement.
- Positions the platform as a valuable tool for executive decision-making.
Mentorship & Training - Mentor new community managers on processes and tools for their success.
- Maintain current training tools and develop new tools to help train all community managers on processes and changes
Process Improvement, creation and curation - Manage the ongoing cataloging of current process in the Community Manager Playbook
- Analyze process effectiveness and make recommendations on improvements
- Create new automation and processes to impact department objectives and increase efficiencies
Essential Skills: - 3-5 years of professional experience
- Bachelors degree required
- 2+ years reviewing and moderating user-generated content including forums or social media
- 2+ years' experience in creating and presenting to various levels of leadership, including executive or senior roles
- Experienced using various social media platforms and online forums, direct experience with communities is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to earn trust with various levels of professional leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong ability to convey messages clearly.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships, with high-profile executives is preferred.
- Ability to analyze community engagement metrics and user behavior data to inform strategies and improve user experience.
- Demonstrated capability and comfort in leading/hosting 1:1 conversations or small group discussions
- Skill in curating user-generated content to highlight success stories, driving engagement.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability address user concerns and provide support.
- Creative thinking to develop new ways to engage the community. Familiarity with project management tools, CRM, Microsoft Suite

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 62,400 USD - 86,940 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
