Job Title: Special Education Teacher – Autism (Self-Contained)
Location: Sterling, VA 20164
Duration: 29-week contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 08:30 AM – 03:30 PM
Pay Rate: $40–$45/hr
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Special Education Teacher – Autism (Self-Contained)for an exciting job in Sterling, VA.
Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction aligned with each student’s IEP
Implement evidence-based strategies such as ABA, visual supports, and structured routines
Collect academic and behavioral data to monitor progress and guide planning
Support communication development using AAC and other tools as needed
Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and general education teams
Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians
Ensure compliance with district and federal special education guidelines
Qualifications:
Valid Virginia Special Education teaching license or eligibility
Experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum
Strong behavior-support and classroom-management skills
Familiarity with structured teaching models (e.g., TEACCH) preferred
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
CPI or behavior intervention certification preferred
