As a part of achieving this mission, we are building foundation AI models that can accurately and instantly search exact moments within petabytes of video archives, generate coherent text summaries of videos, perform prompt-based video generation, and many more. The Twelve Labs platform provides access to its Large Visual Language Models (VLMs) through a suite of APIs that are trained on massive video datasets and learn to understand the meaning and context behind the visuals, conversations, and sounds within videos.

Twelve Labs recently raised $17M in seed funding, recognized as one of CB Insights’ AI 100 companies within a year of its founding, and secured a massive compute resource through partnering with Oracle. Why this role?

At Twelve Labs, you’ll get the opportunity to work with customers who produce the content you love in a technical capacity, bridging the gap between video and AI. You’ll also collaborate with our R&D and product teams on the bleeding edge of foundation model research to create the visual cortex of the world. A typical day at Twelve Labs for this role would look like this:

• Meeting with customers to understand their use cases/needs and relay feedback to our internal teams to shape the future of our products
• Working with customers to guide them through the PoC and pilot processes
• Supporting our existing customers and helping them solve new use cases
• Strategizing with our GTM team around trends and responses we are seeing across various verticals
• Turning your daydreams about how our video foundation models can be used into a reality – we’d love to see you coding the prototypes of the future

This role might be for you if you have some of the following:

• 4+ years of experience as a technical Solutions Architect or similar technical customer-facing role. (Startup experience is a big plus)
• Experience with both pre/post, sales engagements
• Experience in planning for and deploying complex products
• Experience with building applications and integrations using foundation model APIs
• Experience and desire to translate a customer’s dream state from an abstract idea into a concrete implementation with clear and attainable intermediary steps along the way – When a customer says they want faster horses you build them a car and show them how the assembly line works
• Experience with foundation model libraries and SDKs e.g. LangChain, Jarvis, etc. is a plus
• Experience with video processing pipelines and tools e.g. ffmpeg is a plus
• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
• Strong market awareness. You understand the players in the foundation model space and how they relate to each other.
• Deep technical background paired with exceptional soft skills is a plus – You will need to interface with our engineering, model, and product teams to understand and shape our roadmap while simultaneously mapping that to and from customer use cases. Can you go from explaining embeddings to a Director of Media to discussing model architecture with our research scientists?
• A creative drive and a sense of autonomy – as important as technical skills are the ability to lift the veil and give people what they didn’t know they were asking for is essential
