Title: Senior SRE Engineer (Remote)
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months to 12 Months

Client is looking for an Observability SME with strong site reliability engineering experience to join their team. This person will be responsible for the oversight of different tools and vendors across multiple systems. This individual will be responsible for keep up to date with upgrades and new tools being released so they are able to take this information back to the different teams and teach them how to use it.
You must have extensive experience with the New Relic tool suite and understating New Relic query language. As an Observability SRE on our project, you will ensure that knowledge objects (dashboards, alerts, etc) are properly configured to help identify areas for improvement in the system architecture and constantly look for ways to make the platform better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies. Your expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network.
You will help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This role gives you the opportunity to learn and grow within many new tools.

Must-haves
* Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience in an AWS environment
- 5 years specifically as an SRE
- Hands on, senior to expert level knowledge of Splunk, New Relic, or similar observability tools.
* Experience providing oversight across multiple systems and vendors to ensure they are working properly there environment consist of 28 systems across 14 departments
* Experience training and teaching new tools and upgraded software to teams across multiple systems
* Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc)
* Ability to obtain a Public Trust



Plusses
* Prior experience working with Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS)
* Experience supporting an e-commerce platform
* Knowledge of Packer, Terraform, and other Infrastructure as Code components necessary to automate build and deployment of systems
