Job Overview
A Registered Nurse plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, utilizing their expertise to assess, plan, and implement effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Decision Making: Utilize the nursing process to deliver evidence-based care, making informed decisions that prioritize patient outcomes.
- Patient Care Coordination: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care, addressing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
- Medication Management: Safely administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed interventions.
- Documentation and Communication: Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given, effectively communicating with patients, family members, and caregivers.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, preferred
- RN License in state of employment or compact
- BLS required
- Current ACLS certification required
Additional Requirements:
- New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and initial onboarding requirements are validated through successful completion of the designated organizational entry competency validation and a Critical Care Department-specific competency validation.
- Completion of all annual competency verification requirements.
- One year of experience in Critical Care setting, preferred but will accept new graduates.
