Job Description

Looking for a qualified Senior Composite Design Engineer to attribute to our government contracting position. Mainly will be working with electronic warfare products for aerospace products for the government.

1. Should have a strong background in innovative research and development and a desire to create exciting new products.
2. Identify, develop, evaluate, and introduce engineering solutions to meet near term and long range engineering needs around composite components.
3. Provide technical consultation on product problems throughout the business including supplier and field support.
4. Lead and provide the key technical direction to large projects with critical business impact.
5. Maintain an active role in developing and defining the state of the art in own technical specialty to anticipate, apply, adapt or develop technologies for product introduction, quality, performance, cost improvements and problem resolution in meeting current and future business needs including adherence to schedules and estimated costs.
6. Support other GE businesses, internal and external customers, and suppliers as required.
7. Provide technical consultation to cross-functional teams throughout the business to improve or resolve manufacturing, product center, supplier, or field issues.

1. 10+ years of experience is required.
2. Bachelor's degree is required.
3. Experience with various types of composite structures is required.
4. Experience preparing proposals is required.
5. Experience in Aerospace and Structural Analysis is required.
6. GovCon experience is required.
7. U.S Citizen is required due to being clearable for a clearance.

$150,000 - $170,000 a year
