The Role

The senior manager role on Fidelity Procurement’s category management team leads Procurement projects of medium level complexity, typically in support of a single business group. This role will work with business partners to improve Fidelity’s position to broker for the right products, at the right price and contractual terms. Individuals should possess experience working across many business segments, including technology, marketing, financial services, and consulting services. They should exhibit strong communications skills as they partner with Fidelity leaders across our business divisions to achieve stronger scale and efficiency for Fidelity.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • BSc/BA in business administration or 3+ years of equivalent experience
  • Background in sourcing, contracts, vendor management, or product management
  • Outstanding expertise as a category manager or product manager.
  • Ability to lead/ influence cross-functional teams through procurement projects
  • Experience working with leaders
  • 3 years of procurement related experience, including sourcing, contracting, or related experience in vendor or product management

The Purpose of Your Role

Procurement concentrates on finding and acquiring efficient products that contribute to business growth. Category Managers at the senior manager level lead sourcing activities and strategically select goods and services. You will engage with technology and non-technology vendors on medium dollar engagements that are core to Fidelity's strategic objectives. As a leader within a deal team, you will regularly collaborate with executives, product managers, contract managers, vendor managers and others.
