Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Telemetry Processing Solutions: Architect and implement scalable, reliable, and efficient backend systems, telemetry data pipelines and risk management algorithms to ingest, process, and store telemetry data. This information is critical to enable real-time feedback to end-users such as location-based alerting.
- Telemetry Data Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define telemetry data requirements, ensuring accurate and timely data collection for monitoring and analysis.
- Data Quality and Integrity: Implement data validation and cleansing processes to maintain high data quality standards, ensuring the reliability of telemetry data for downstream applications.
- Real-Time Data Processing: Develop and maintain systems for real-time data processing, scoring and analytics - facilitating immediate insights and responses to telemetry data.
- Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to support data needs and provide guidance on best practices in system solutioning and engineering of cloud telemetry systems.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data systems, ensuring scalability and efficiency as data volumes grow.

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs using AWS cloud technologies.
- Ensure best practices in CI/CD, observability, and security.
- Lead technical design and architecture discussions and reviews.
- Ensure system documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and UI/UX designers.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in software and/or data engineering, with a focus on telemetry data systems and real-time data processing.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in AWS cloud services and experience with cloud-based data storage and processing solutions. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, Jenkins, or CircleCI. Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).
- Database Management: Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, with a solid understanding of data modeling and schema design.
- Telemetry Systems: Hands-on experience with telemetry data collection, processing, and analysis tools.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS IOT).
- Experience with serverless architecture (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions).
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and message queues (SNS, SQS, Kafka).
- Background in Agile/Scrum software development practices.
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their application in analyzing telemetry data.
- Knowledge of V2X technology and protocols.
- Understanding of network principles and impacts of network-based latency
